aka Hanna D The Girl from Vondel Park. Hanna (Ann Gisel Glass) is a Dutch teen girl living with her alcoholic prostitute mother Pearl (Karin Schubert) in Amsterdam. All around her neighbourhood, she sees young girls getting high on drugs until she herself falls victim to a nasty street pimp Miguel who supplies her with heroin in return for her to become a prostitute. Hanna has to earn enough money not only to support her drug habit but also her alcoholic mother's financial debt. Mother and daughter are at the mercy of Miguel, the dangerous pimp. One day on a ferry ride a tall young boy Axel meets Hanna and falls in love with her. Axel proves to be a different person from the usual nasty crowd Hanna used to meet. Through thick and thin, Axel stands by Hanna until she completely reforms into a normal girl.
