A convicted robber Joe (Joe Dallesandro) escapes from a prison and goes to the country side cottage where he had buried a stash of cash (from a previous robbery) beneath the cottage fireplace. On reaching the cottage, he finds that it is being occupied by 3 people ... Sergio (Gianni Macchia), wife Liliana (Patrizia Benh) and Liliana's younger sister Paola (Lorraine de Selle).. who are holidaying there for the weekend. Before deciding how to retrieve his loot inside the cottage, Joe observes the behaviour of Sergio, Liliana and Paola and discovers that Sergio is the sexual lover of both ladies unaware that Liliana and Paola are siblings. When Sergio goes out hunting with his rifle and Liliana drives to town to do grocery shopping leaving Paola alone at the cottage, Joe decides to strike. He barges into the cottage with his rifle in his hand and holds Paola hostage. What will Joe do when Sergio and Liliana come back to the cottage? When he finds his buried money, what will he do?
