Professor Riccardo Rossi (Donald O'Brien), a staunch opposer of divorce, comes home to find his brunette wife Elisa (Malisa Longo) in bed with an unknown lover who dashes away before the Prof can shoot him. Since he doesn't agree with legal separation, the prof drugs his adulterous wife instead, sticks her in a gunny sack, and dumps her body into a lake. Now supposedly a free single man, Riccardo hooks up with hot hooker Eva (Erika Blanc) and invites pays her to come stay with him. The Professor's niece Barbara (Maria D'Incoronato), younger sis of Elisa shows up at his door demanding to see Elisa. He tells Barbara that Elisa has gone away on holiday of her own. Seeing that Barbara is young and attractive, Riccardo makes a successful pass at his attractive niece not realising what a cunning bitch she can be. He finds himself plagued by visions of his supposedly dead wife Elisa, stalked by a bearded stranger in a car, and threatened by mysterious phone calls from his dead wife. Is he being haunted by Elisa, or is his wife somehow still alive and seeking revenge?
