aka Caligula and Messalina. Although having been married 4 times, Caligula still has sexual appetite for more women, including his sister Agrippina. The first time Caligula lays his eyes on Messalina is in the arena where gladiators fight to the death. Messalina wanting to catch the attention of Caligula enters the arena to fight with a champion gladiator. She defeats the gladiator and Caligula is hooked on her. She becomes Caligula's no. 1 mistress. Caligula's insanity and excesses are now well-known in Rome and his sister the conniving Agrippina leads a conspiracy among the Praetorian guards and Senators to assassinate him. When Caligula is eliminated, Agrippina and the Senate declare Claudius, her uncle, as new Caesar of Rome. Messalina on hearing that Claudius is about to become Caesar seduces him but Agrippina plots to kill Messalina. The Praetorian guards under orders from Agrippina kill Messalina and her illicit lover. Then Agrippina moves in on her uncle Claudius who agrees to marry her.
