Prof. Gianni is a scientist experimenting on the metabolism of snakes. He is so consumed in his work that he neglects his wife Carla and daughter Anna who has just returned from a convent boarding school. Carla has an ongoing sexual relationship with the family chauffeur named Fred and occasionally has a lesbian affair with black female maid Mary. Anna begins a strange bestial relationship with a particular snake which shows a mutual affection with her. In the end the snake kills just about anyone who comes between itself and Anna.
